Proof of life in a barren land ...

Yes. It was laying directly in my path outside the library, on a gusty day. Somewhat against all odds- it shouldn’t have stayed put in one place even for as long as it took me to snap a picture of it. Where had it wintered, I wondered. But there it was.

An example of bravery for us all. Just being there.
