I think these structures are very ugly, and the lesson they teach, although important, can be taught in less intrusive ways. We have one of these sort of things in a botanical garden here, and all it does is obstruct the view from the moving gaze. Nice photo though.

It's a shame, but many people probably only realize how beautiful the landscape behind it actually is because of this frame.
