It;s a wonder that this Mill wasn't painted by Constable. How peaceful it looks.

It has been painted many times but not by Constable. He did however paint Gillingham (Dorset) mill, which is lost forever now, having been destroyed by fire. I don't quite remember when, but it was around 1970-80. It should have been rebuilt :-(
