Summer evening on the porch, c. 1957.

My great uncle and my grandfather in conversation on the screened porch of a Wisconsin cabin. Submitted to the Vintage Photos Theme Park for the theme, "Screens." (A ray of sunlight can be seen illuminating the screen just above the far man's crossed leg.)

There's nothing like a roomy, screened in porch in summer - especially at night, by a lake!

Yes, Deborah. This was a rental cabin at a "resort". My dad and his father had been there a couple of times earlier and this was the first time I was included with the guys; a very big deal to me. My dad's brother, Dick, also joined us. My dad and I returned a couple of more times, the last time to celebrate my graduation from college in 1969.
