Through the Crust
The path back to the car, surrounded by bacterial soil crusts, sage, and stunted shrubs.
One very nice thing about this hike was, even at about seven miles round trip, we were out in around four hours (including a long stop for lunch) thanks to the path being largely level. The only up and down was over the saddle between the two canyons.
