Travel with me by Train

We can't get physically far because the train is on the Isle of Wight, but we can travel quite a long ways back in time.
[A long line of images, but it is about a train after all. Enjoy the ride.]

hi Laura

have a nice summer time

raingirl replied to Annemarie:

Thank you kindly.

I am enjoying the summer. A bit warmer than I usually like, but we have had days of respite, so I'm not complaining.

I hope your summer is going well.
peace.

hehe - yes indeed. And it was one of my favorite things while on the Isle of Wight, though there was a lot of competition.

An interesting series. I must admit I didn't know the Isle of Wight had a railway. :-)

A great photo story Laura!!!

Do you have a photo of the loco?

raingirl replied to GrahamH:

Thanks so much. Um, can you be specific? When you say 'photo of the loco' do you mean a full on image of the full engine? Because there are parts of the engine shown above here. Or perhaps you mean the whole train in one photo? Here are a few others that might fit what you are looking for?
This first one is from the board at the train station:

and this one of our engine disengaged from our cars, moving to the other end of the train to take us back from whence we came!
