Stanley Kubrick garage 6

This is the ceiling of the garage where Stanley Kubrick edited '2001: A Space Odyssey'. It's just outside of London.

What you are looking at is Kubrick's alarm system wires that are attached to the ceiling.

We had the special privledge of getting a personal tour of the house and garage. It is not open to the public. We were very honored that the current owner gave us the tour.

And it was very special. No one except the new owner had been in the garage since Kubrick sold it. People would come to the home's door and ask for Kubrick, but the new owner said when he told them Kubrick didn't live there anymore they just went away.

It was fascinating. I have no idea how the alarm system works, but it was the only thing left in the garage that was there when Kubrick was there (except for his kids drawings on the sliding glass door. - might post those later, though not as interesting of a photo)

I kind of think I do have an exclusive! I do like to look up. I don't even think the photo that exists of Kubrick sitting in the garage editing includes the ceiling - now I have to go find that and look.

Indeed! Our friend who lives near there wrote a letter, one of those old fashioned things, to the now owner and made special arrangements for us to see it.
Or perhaps you mean the type of alarm system - I've never seen anything like it before.
