I preferred to photograph the ship. I don't like crowded spaces and the excursions seem to pack in loads of people. I suppose they are a bit more dispersed during the voyage, but the views are all on one side as they cruise along past Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters cliffs.
Built on The Clyde, and used until the mid 70s to visit lochs, she is a beautiful example of a paddle steamer. It's so nice to see that she has been beautifully restored and maintained and still giving pleasure.
Thanks, William. Upto about ten minutes before sailing the sky had been dull and there had been a light rain shower. Then the sun came out and the whole scene became delightful.
