An abstract image, created in Photoshop Elements. It started with the use of 'finger painting'. The seven small petal shapes were made first, the size of the finger was increased and the marks were longer. Layers were copied and distorted in several ways. The initial monochrome image was coloured by the use of 'color gradients' which divide the image by its tones and gives each tone - lighter or darker - a different colour. This is a lot easier to do than to explain!
