I am surprised that this stack is still standing. It does not seem to have been worn away a great amount in the twelve years we have lived here, but , as you can see from the pile of chalk, the cliffs behind it often have rockfalls. In the spring and summer the cliffs and this rock are the nesting place for hundreds of pairs of Kittiwakes.
