I made this spontaneous, "grab shot" of my daughters and their two children enjoying Mexican style tacos for dinner on a pleasant Summer Wednesday evening. Just a simple photo depicting the two generations who will be succeeding me. When I made this I wasn't aware that it was World Photography Day, until the next day when I logged into Ipernity to upload photos for my monthly photo group meeting. I had only made three photos on Wednesday and this one gives me the best feelings. I am reminded of the color work of William Eggleston whose simple and sometimes quirky mages of the often mundane aspects of daily life serve as a way to freeze our attention to what is normally overlooked as we negotiate our busy lives.
