Grevenmacher- Waeschbaer Kundel
IBlannen Theis, who plays a tune on his violin, has become one of Grevenmacher's most legendary figures. Created in 1991 by the Luxembourg artist Will Lofy, the bronze statue depicts the singer Mathias Schou with his dog. Born in 1747 in Grevenmacher, this artist was either visually impaired or blind, and is said to have been the first to make the Luxembourg language known through the songs he performed at festivals and fairs, a practice that was not at all popular at the time. He died in 1824 in Eich.
