Memory of The Blue Ridge Mounains ..NC

Taken in 2006 - these hills are forever changed
by Hurricane Helene
the folks we know are ok
but so many yet to be found
drones are getting into places
helicopters can't
these are mountain people
they are a tough lot
but they admit even this is something never seen
Cajun Navy is on-site
with so many others

#NCSTRONG !

MANY THANKS, MARIO ....
THEY WILL COME BACK - YET DIFFERENT THAN OUR MEMORIES -- THAT IS WHY I'M SO GLAD SO MANY PHOTOS WERE TAKEN HERE AS WELL AS ANNA MARIA ISLAND, FL.

STRONG-WILLED SOULS WILL WORK YEARS TO BRING THESE BEAUTIFUL SPOTS BACK.
DIFFERENT, BUT STILL 'THE HILLS'

THERE ARE EVEN MULE TRAINS AND LARGE DRONES USED BY FARMERS GETTING TO AREAS.

BLESS THEM ALL.

THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE VISITED "THE HILLS" ..

THEY ARE A VERY SPECIAL PLACE FOR US --- A FRIEND MR.C HIRED IN FL AT THE RADIO STATION THERE -- NOW LIVES IN BLACK MOUNTAIN - NEAR ASHEVILLE WHERE HE WORKS AT AN AM STATION -- THEY HAD POWER WHILE NOBODY AROUND THEM DID.

THEY WERE A LIFE-LINK TO THE COMMUNITY.
THEY COULDN'T LEAVE -- NO WAY OUT, SO THEY BROADCCAST.

WHEN DEAR SOULS CALLED ASKING IF THEY COULD PUT A RELATIVE'S NAME ON THE AIR SIMCE THEY HAD HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM -- THEY DID.

AM SO PROUD OF THEM.
