How wonderful!

This reminds me of the books that have an image on the edges of the pages, only visible by bending the pages all together. It's called fore-edge illustrations.

Here it might be thick paper, but I know what you mean ;)

Such wonderful artwork on the old wooden door...........and I also like the stone surrounds. Both are really beautiful and you've captured the whole thing perfectly oHo..!!

I am glad you like it. Roussillon is known for all shades of ocher and the arches are all over the place since the romans were here.

oh - nach ein paar Tagen könnte ich viele Postkartenmotive zeigen. Aber ich muß sagen die Farben / Flächen / Formen hier sind aussergewöhnlich. Es ist meine erste Reise in die Provence. Wir sind jetzt in Arles auf dem Fotofestival.

Harald Mante hat dieses Motiv schon vor....60 Jahren?...gemacht - ein Selfie, an der Wand in der Ecke sitzend :) Und ich dachte, ich hätte "das" Motiv gefunden. Er hat mir nicht verraten, dass er das schon vor einem halben Jahrhundert fotografiert hat, sondern nur mit einem Grinsen gemeint, dass ich mich links unten in das Motiv hätte setzen müssen. Später hab ich es dann in einem seiner Bücher entdeckt und verstanden, was er meinte :))) LG
