The best way to enjoy them - free running!

What a beauty. Did you have to use a long lens? Or are they used to humans?

oHo replied to raingirl:

This was shot with 24mm @ f1.8.

There were some cows and 4 horses running over the street and on the field. The cows were shy, the horses and especially this one was very trusting - looks like he was posing for me. After taking some portrait shots, we were neck to neck :-) An incridible experience.

How delightful! Thanks for sharing this tongue photo also - shows the character well.

I got to photograph a shetland pony in England. It had no fear of us.

oHo replied to Ria V.:

oHo replied to raingirl:

In the south we stayed some days at a farm - and the farmer told us a lot about them and the relationship to them. And he advised us - never call them pony ;-)

raingirl replied to oHo:

*smile* (no one wants to be called pony - like being called junior, right? haha)
