Fotografieren war ausdrücklich erlaubt. Besucher wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass sie eventuell fotografiert werden. Die Künstlerin pocht auf Mitverantwortung und Teilnahme des Publikums.
Veröffentlichung für nicht kommerzielle Zwecke erwünscht.

Wäre es kein Bild sondern eine Aufführung, bliebe sicher keiner unberührt - oder man wendet sich ab, weil das hinsehen schon schmerzt - das würde ich wahrscheinlich auch tun.

Each person has such indifference to the pain in the background - love that the art provokes discussion. It may be that those people weren't engaged at the moment, but certainly the fact that the conversation continues outside the museum must mean the art is having an effect. We can never dictate what our art does for or to people - it has a life of its own after we create it.

Within the art community is a strong opinion that performance art only "works" live and not in reproduction. I tend to agree, but as a photog I only have the still image.
Does she reach out to more people than Capa, Miller, Salgado, Nachtway ...? I don't know !?

Because I take a lot of photos of people watching art in museums (when permitted) I loved the statement at the exhibition - "publication for non-commercial purposes desired" -and not just "allowed".
