I must say, from what I remember of your work from a while ago, you seem to have made a huge leap in terms of technique to this level of photography. It’s so impressive. Are you entering competitions and things like that? I can easily imagine this on one of those Countryfile calendars the BBC makes.

Its really interesting and gratifying to hear that Steve, to be honest I dont feel I've changed much in what I do or how I do it, and this here apart from an odd post on Facebook, which I dont really use much any more, this is the only outlet I use for my pictures. I just try to enjoy the results, and thanks for your input it has amde me feel rather happy

Tricky one, there were actually about 5 different blackbirds so i just focussed on mother the young one was an added bonus
