mardi dernier, je suis allé dans un parc près de chez-moi, le Lac Fauvel (cherchez l'album), pour observer un oiseau rare au Québec, le coulicou à bec jaune. Je l'ai vu, un lifer en terme d'ornithologie, mais j'ai fait de mauvaises photos. Je suis retourné chaque jour espérant le revoir et je n'étais pas le seul. On l'a entendu mais jamais vu. Ce matin, même scénario. On l'entendais mais impossible de le voir. Par contre, on a rencontré son cousin, le coulicou à bec noir. Lui il a été plus gentil et a posé pour nous pendant plusieurs minutes tout en chantant. Un autre lifer. Une belle semaine finalement.

Last Tuesday, I went to a park near my home, Lac Fauvel (look for the album), to observe a rare bird in Quebec, the yellow-billed cuckoo. I saw him, a lifer in terms of ornithology, but I took bad pictures. I went back every day hoping to see him again and I wasn't the only one. We heard him but never saw him. This morning, the same scenario. We could hear him but we couldn't see him. On the other hand, we met its cousin, the black-billed cuckoo. He was nicer and posed for us for several minutes while singing. Another lifer. A great week in the end.
