Nikolauskapelle Klingenmünster 12

Klingenmünster is a municipality in Southern Weinstraße district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Western Germany.

In the middle of a park-like landscape above the village of Klingenmünster stands the Nikolauskapelle - a jewel of Hohenstaufen religious architecture.

The chapel is a listed building under the protection of UNESCO.

The exact date of construction of the chapel is unknown.
Due to stylistic features of the Late Romanesque, it is speculated that the church was built with tower around 1190.
Date of the first mention is the year 1313.
