Epiphyllum Ackermanii
- my Dad's favorite flowers.
They used to bloom in July (for his name day: July 20).
Dad cared for them for many years.
Then (when he was getting older) he neglected them and eventually put them in a far corner of a garden shed.
More than a year after Dad had passed away I found three pots of them there.
They seemed to be totally dead but I took a piece of one and planted it in fresh soil and pot.
It took several months to see it awakening and in May this year it produced its first flower.
But this is a shot of my Dad's flowers taken 17 years ago.

It was my happiest day this year when I saw a promise of the first bud :) I am looking for more of them now :)
Thank you, Isabel!

I remember one year when I tried to count them all blooming at the same time.
I gave up when I reached one hundred :)
