This year I've decided to make my own bird feeding items. The store-bought ball bird feeders may contains all sorts of nasty hydrogenated plant oils / trans-fats. I don't eat them, so the birds won't get them either. I used good old lard to bind the seed-mix together. It worked nicely.

Now all I have to do is wait and see if the birds like it or not.
