Yes, it's sitting less than a metre away........we have several that visit our garden and we are very used to each other.......as long as we allow them to steal the bird food :-)))

Il n'a pas l'air farouche. Chez moi une telle photo serait impossible car dès que mon chien voit un écureuil, il lui fonce dessus en aboyant. Ce qui a pour effet de faire grimper l'écureuil dans le premier arbre venu. Je le laisse faire car l'écureuil est toujours plus rapide. Et mon chien ne monte pas aux arbres.

We have several squirrels that visit our garden to steal the bird food. We are used to each other, and providing I always photograph them through the window and don't leave the house the are very comfortable.

We don't have a dog anymore, but when we did he also used to chase the squirrels (also unsuccessfully). I'm sure they found it a great game and enjoyed teasing him!

A good spot for you to catch it very close Keith. I imagine with a bit of patience you could have it feeding from your hand if you wanted. Well done.

ps, Our squirrels have all but deserted us now since we took down our bird feeder for the summer.

Such naughty little squirrels maybe you should have a sign telling them it is for the birds only :-)
