Portsmouth Street Art

It's been a while since I posted any photos of street art, so I thought I'd dig out a couple. This one is absolutely huge as you can see by the car parking spaces in front of it. Unfortunately the artist hasn't signed it, so I can't credit. him or her.

The image in the PiP is a really odd one and I can't claim to understand what it's all about. It is also unsigned.

Both artists are obviously very talented.

Not a single car in the parking and it’s easy to see why!

Keith Burton replied to Typo93:

I don't think the car park is in use Typo.....and the buildings are possibly going to be demolished.

Two well caught murals! The gold tooth in the main one is a funny detail:-) As to the other one- it is weird but fascinating, it reminded me of the many paintings of Jesus with a bleeding heart...

I don't understand either of them, the skull biting the crocodile while the crocodile is biting the skeleton? I think art doesn't have to be analysed or understood but I like them both and obviously both talented artists and a have captured them beautifully.

Keith Burton replied to James:

I don't think you have to understand them James........I love how the skeleton and crocodile have been incorporated into the shape of the building. As for the hares........who knows :-)))

Glad you do like them and my photos though.........very much appreciated..!!

I must admit as time moves on both the street art and my tolerance of it has improved somewhat. Another excellent example here well captured by yourself. The PiP -well that is good too and like you no doubt, I have tried in-vain to get further info about it. Two hares and a stylised heart, what is that all about?

Best Wishes. Herb
