A fine blossom tree to say the least. We have one in our garden but this year it is refusing to flower. Last year it only had five or six flowers. It is only about five foot high and around twenty years old but has never done well. We moved it to a sunnier spot after it was poor in its original spot too. Time for a replacement maybe?

Cheers. Herb

Keith Burton replied to Herb Riddle:

Glad you like this one Herb.

It's a bit strange in our town........some houses have superb displays like this one and others have hardly any flowers at all.

My next door neighbours Magnolia tree flowered very early and the flowers have died already whereas my neighbours five houses down have a similar sized tree, which is only just started to flower!

A real beauty and lovely colour in this superb capture Keith,
After only a few day the white Magnolia in the garden has had all the flowers blown away by today's strong breeze, this happens almost every year!

Keith Burton replied to Roger (Grisly):

Glad you like this one Roger..........thanks for your visit and kind comments as always.

That's the downside to magnolia for me.........the flowers are very fragile and don't last long. They're pretty while they do though!
