These are situated on the sea front at Southsea, Hampshire.They date back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and have been Grade II listed for their artistic, architectural and historical interest.

I did have to wait a while, but not too long. It was pretty cold that day, despite the sunshine, so not so many people around.

In Victorian times, it was very fashionable for people to promenade on the sea front..........and of course they needed somewhere to sit and rest!!
