Hilsea Lines (+PiP)

On last Thursday afternoon I took a short walk in the nature reserve at Hilsea Lines (known locally as Foxes Forest). This is a view from one of the footpaths along along the adjacent pond. Just a hint of autumn colour so far.

When I turned around 180 degrees and took a photo, the view was not so pretty.........it shows the railway line and bridge and the accompanying graffiti, but personally, I still like it. Check it out in the PiP.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone........and thanks for looking!

Always good to see your landscapes Keith. A calming corner looking this way, quite different from the other. It looks like possible otter country too. Well done.

Thanks for sharing with our UK Landscape Photography Group , Herb

Keith Burton replied to Herb Riddle:

Thank you Herb..............I don't take as many as I would like as we don't travel around as much as we used to. This is a lovely location and only a few miles from where I live.

Believe it or not it is less than half a mile from a busy motorway on one side and the railway on the other, but you've never know it.

Thanks for our lovely comments.

Keith Burton replied to Günter Klaus:

Glad you like these two images Güni........although the waterfowl didn't show themselves much on this occasion. There is a lot of conservation work going on in the area and so some of the footpaths were closed.

Thanks for your lovely comments.........alway appreciated.

Best wishes, Keith.

A landscape of great serenity and beauty. The fact that the landscape behind you is not so attractive reveals your great sincerity and upsets the principle that photography is the art of knowing how to deceive the viewer. Your sincerity is the reason for the great appreciation that is held in your regard at Ipernity.

Keith Burton replied to Anton Cruz Carro:

Thank you as always Anton for your well thought out comments. To be honest, the whole area is a little rough around the edges, but with some real beautiful spots. There is a lot of conservation work going on at the moment too.

You're very kind sir,..........much appreciated.
