Old Cricket Pavilion.

A busy day today as it is my oldest daughter's 50th birthday, so my wife and I took her out to Chichester for a birthday lunch.

The weather wasn't brilliant, but we managed to avoid all but one shower of rain and I managed to grab 10 mins to myself and popped into Priory Park to take some photos.

This is the very old cricket pavilion which is starting to show its age. Given the grey clouds and bad light, black and white seemed the best way to go.

Better viewed large, I think.

Keith Burton replied to Günter Klaus:

It was mainly when they felt the need to do a bit of shopping when I decided to go off on my own for a short while.........and my wife is used to that :-))

Glad you like this one Güni............it was one of only three or four images I liked enough to keep! Thanks for your visit and nice words as always.

Regards, Keith.

Black and white was the way to go Keith, it has produced a lovely and rather atmospheric period style image.

Set under those lovely trees the pavilion looks to be in its dotage, but I feel sure that along with the sight screens some tlc and a coat of of paint will have it ready a few more seasons.

A superb image undar a typical October sky!

The decision to publish the picture in black and white was the right one. It was the best way to convey the mood, I think.
