Bosham Harbour (+PiP)

A view across the harbour at Bosham, in West Sussex.........this time captured at high tide and from the opposite side of the harbour looking towards the harbour entrance with the village on the right.

You can see how high the tide is, but to get a better idea, have a look at the PiP. I was standing just to the right of the sign..!!

Glad you like these photos Tanja. It's quite common to find the odd car submerged here at high tide...........people that don't know the area normally who ignored the warning notices.

I don't live right by the sea, but I'm lucky enough to have both the sea and the countryside a very short distance away from my house..!!

Once again, thanks for your lovely comments.

Keith Burton replied to trester88:

It's a pretty sheltered harbour........but they do have high tides each day.

I think most of the houses around the harbour have been flooded at one time or another, but most of them have pretty good flood defences nowadays and everyone is prepared and used to it.
