Musical Buttons

My wife found some guitar-shaped wooden buttons in a charity and got them for me to photograph. I think they look pretty good with the sheet music as a background.

Taken indoors, in natural light.

Top clarity there Keith,.. can see the texture in the sheet material,.. the 1 sec exposure is interesting,.. I had piano lessons as a 'yoof' and the selection in view there looks pretty complicated //
Keep well and Cheers'' from Dj.

Keith Burton replied to David G Johnson:

Thanks very much David..........very kind comments as always. Glad you enjoyed this one.

As for the 1sec exposure.......the light from the window wasn't brilliant and I didn't want to use flash or the room lights........so I just wacked up the exposure to get the effect I wanted. I used a tripod and the camera shutter was set to a 12 sec delay to avoid any movement.

What a great find Keith! I'm very impressed with this beautiful composition! I have actually just pulled the plumber away from our bathroom and showed him, as I know he plays guitar & ukulele & also likes photography. Your wife has a good eye. Would be good to see them on a cardigan now :-))

Have a great weekend.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

I'm pleased you like the little guitars Rosa...........and the way I composed the shot. Thanks for your lovely comments. I hope your plumber liked it as well.

Jackie quite often finds things for me to photograph..........I don't use everything, but she has quite a good hit rate :-))

There is absolutely no chance of me wearing a cardigan, let alone one with guitar-shaped buttons on :-)))

Keith Burton replied to Gudrun:

Glad you approve Gudrun...........I like to play around with stuff like this, especially when the weather is not so good.

I can almost picture you wearing a cardigan with these buttons running down the front. (see my reply to Rosa) :-)))
