The landscape looks like here. Rainy, grey days ! But it’s nice to imagine this place in bright sun. I think it’s very lovely.

Keith Burton replied to Ulrich John:

Thanks Ulrich..........I'm pleased you like it despite the lack of decent sunshine.

This is a very moody photos of Buddleigh Salterton, Keith. Instantly recognizable for me because of the row o fir trees. Have they opened the flood gates further up the Otter where there is a new bridge?

Keith Burton replied to Amelia:

Thanks Amelia.........I guessed you'd recognise this area.............glad you like the shot, despite the lack of decent light.

I've attached a link giving the most recent updates on the restoration project.

That looks a very attractive place to wander past. Am I correct that a wildlife film on TV mentioned Otters seen on the River Otter ?

Keith Burton replied to Colin Ashcroft:

It's a lovely place Colin and one of my favourite places to visit when we go to Devon.

Glad you like the photo. I'm afraid I have not seen the TV programme you mention, nor have I ever seen an Otter on the River Otter, but I assume there must have been some,

I've seen an article online which says they're making a comeback on the river, but it doesn't give more detail than that. I'll investigate next time I visit!

Thank you Jaap............it is normally quite busy In the summer, but in this recent wet and miserable weather there's hardly anyone around, which is great1

My favourite part of Budleigh Salterton Keith. Good to see the row of trees that are in many of my photos, are still there and looking good. We have sat on the ridge where the benches are and watched the tide come in many times.

I always view your pictures large anyway :-)) A super shot Keith.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Mine too Rosa.........such a shame the weather wasn't up to much.........but it did mean it was almostt deserted the day I was there, which was nice! Glad you like the photo and thank for the nice comments. I have a few more to show in due course.

There is a lot of work going on there at the moment......a sort of "re-wilding" project. I've attached a link if you're interested.

Ce temps pluvieux crée une douce lumière qui confère à la photo une grande douceur. Le paysage est splendide avec cette alternance d'eau et de terre
