St Hubert's Church, Idsworth, Hampshire

by Keith Burton
These were taken on the 19th August on the same day as this one: www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/51518604 but much earlier in the day when it was drizzling with rain and very overcast.

I decided to post them as someone asked whether I had some shots taken from a different perspective.

An attractive little church, Keith, but one wonders where the catchment area is for the congregation. It seems to be very isolated. Nicely presented set of three views.

Keith Burton replied to Amelia:

It's not as isolated as it looks Amelia...........it's quite near to the village of Finchdean. Apparently the church has a regular congregation of around 25 to 30 people on Sundays (that would pretty much fill up all the pews), there are also many visitors who turn up as well.

Glad you like the photos and thanks for dropping by.

Thank you for showing us this lovely little church from all sides Keith. It's a good idea to show them in a collage and I love the atmospheric conditions.....haven't seen many days like this recently, but we are promised rain this weekend. Just when I don't want it!!

Good work Keith. Have a nice weekend.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Thanks Rosa.............I only posted them because you asked about alternative views :-)

It's such a nice church that only very thick fog could stop a nice shot or three being taken!

Keith Burton replied to Andy Rodker:

Indeed...........but I have to admit to having taken a lot of rubbish shots of the church over the years :-))

The drizzle makes for more muted colours but the little church still is a beauty:-) Well presented from all angles!
