Yes, it's sad but the cats eat the birds, mice and bunnies too. The circle of life, I guess. :-/

Best to keep our kitties safe inside. We do have a wild stray cat here that has managed to co-exist with the coyotes for a couple of years now. Fingers crossed...

Like foxes, Karen, but increasingly in the UK, the foxes are becoming urbanised and will choose junk food remains instead of wholesome food.
