Jove and his moons

Tonight our sky is dark with thick clouds. But twenty-four hours ago, or so, we had a lovely clear sky. And Jupiter was clearly visible then -- even with the bright moon halfway across the sky from it. Jupiter's four best moons were visible too -- though Io was so close that in this picture it is almost a pimple on Jove's cheek. In order from the lower left, you can see Ganymede, Jove, Io, Europa and Callisto.
