Our now-and-again visitor for the past month, the Red-breasted nuthatch, was in again this morning for a few seeds.

The goldfinches are no more disturbed by him than by other goldfinches which is to say they make all sorts of angelic gestures at him.

He is quick-in-and-out but placid when he stops for seed. He doesn't seem, as they say, to GAF about the goldfinch frenzy around him.
