Osprey

So, we're walking placidly down the Virginia River in the East End of Town this afternoon and this osprey, flying past us, is calling to us, over and over, you know, the way they do. "Kee. Kee. Kee." And so on. Excitedly.

Maybe he was just announcing to all and sundry that he had caught a meal. All by himself. He had a little trout in his talons and he was flying westward, maybe to feed some young folk. Or maybe just to show off.

"Kee kee -- take my picture, not that side, this side."

He never got as close to us as I wanted, so I took seven small pictures of him and I glommed them all together here for you.
