Comet Tsuchinshan

My experience this past week of trying to get a picture of the current comet has made me realise how very many man-made satellites are up there now.

I expect many are Musk's. But, given the fact that outer space has been pretty well opened up for military purposes in the past ten years, I expect a lot belong to the most militarised countries. Sigh.

That scratch at lower left is a satellite moving through my field of view this evening about an hour and a half after sunset.

It was an about-two second exposure, handheld, though with my hand leaning against a post.
