Zur Bewässerung der Fontänen im südlich angrenzenden Park Sanssouci ließ Friedrich der Große 1748 auf der Kuppe ein Wasserreservoir bauen und mit künstlichen Ruinen als antikisierende Gestaltungselemente ausschmücken. (Wikipedia)
