Quick trip down to the Sourh Carolina coastal plain and the Francis Marion National Forest. The target species for this trip was Ponthieva racemosa or Shadow-witch orchid. They were in very good shape, and there were lots of them. Also found a few other fall wildflowers. Good trip!
