The Dom Fernando II e Glória was a sailing frigate of the Portuguese Navy, which sailed between 1845 and 1878. It is currently a museum ship, belonging to the Museu da Marinha, classified as an Auxiliary Unit of the Navy (UAM 203) and the 4th oldest war frigate in the world.
D. Fernando sailed for 33 years, traveling around 100,000 miles, corresponding to almost five times around the world. She was used to transport troops, settlers and exiles to Angola, India and Mozambique.
Happy Friday dear Friends and Visitors.
