I got the result of the latest blood test today, and although my PSA (which after remaining stable for over 2 years has in recent months been increasing exponentially) is continuing to rise at the same rate, it's still classified as 'very low' and no need for intervention is foreseen in the near future and the next blood test has been arranged after the normal interval.
Although "there are always outliers" (I'm quoting the Oncologist), I'm very unlikely to die of old age. But I'm not sure if I'd want to spend my final years in a care home - deaf, incontinent, demented, bedridden or all four. I hope that while still active and functioning I'll die suddenly from a heart attack or stroke without even being aware of it.
