What's on the far left? A recycling bin?

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

A continuation of the cycle racks.

More to the point is what is on the far right: originally just a blank wall and a drainpipe, but the old street sign has now been replaced by an unsightly parking sign attached to the drainpipe, plus some kind of grey-painted box at ground level.

The parking sign includes the usual indecipherable hieroglyphics that are supposed to make life easier for those who can't read English, one being a harlequin mask and the other appearing to be two heads in a box pointing a flashlight at it. As someone who does read English, I have no idea what what any of it means and wish we could return to the pretty England of my childhood.

In my private world we do still live there. But in this one, like it or not, Tempora mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis.
