Woman claims to suffer from epilepsy, with severe grand mal seizures that just happen
out of the blue, making it too dangerous for her to get a job, yet able to go canoeing.
Malingering in a psychiatrically healthy patient is intentionally fabricating or exaggerating symptoms for personal gain. After getting what they want, which is sometimes called an external or secondary gain, the symptoms disappear.
