What is this fad for canopies that don't keep the rain off you? The chief purpose of this one seems to be destroy the view through the windows.

"Delusions of grandeur" is right. Most hospitals are understandably designed without non-functional frills. And what does all that glass do for the heating and cooling bills?

This is the old one it replaced.



I suppose you could say this has a nonfunctional grandeur too,
but at least it was visually comfortable to look at.
