Thanks for the reminder. For years I've been planning a day-trip to the IOW at Sea Pink time in May, but it's never happened and probably never will. One doesn't know exactly when they'll be in flower and May is a busy month.

Isisbridge replied to Howard Somerville:

A reminder to me too, as the above photo (taken in the summer of 83) would have been the last time my legs felt normal. The fronts of my thighs would now be a mass of pain and dysaesthesia if I went out in such a flimsy covering! I wonder if I used Persil to wash that shirt?

Why must it be the IOW for sea pinks?

Howard Somerville replied to Isisbridge:

Persil allegedly washed whiter, though whiter than what we were never told.

For old time's sake and because in the Southern IOW there's other stuff as well to photograph. But it won't happen. I can only do so much, and as the years go by this becomes less.

But Omo washes brighter!

Omo adds brightness

Howard Somerville replied to Isisbridge:

That gay picture would appeal to an omosexual. That it "adds brightness to coloureds too" adds to its woke credentials.
