The Tithe Barn in Thame was built alongside St Mary’s Church, and the wealth of the church at that time is reflected in the size of the building, which had to be large enough to store the tithes due from the local landowners. It features a brick base which supports a timber frame with herringbone brick filling, under a traditional tiled roof.
