(in response to a now-deleted rhyme by Johnnie Essex)
The song we sang at school explained the golden rule:
"Isis or Ock or Thame, forget your olden name ...."
So now it's called the Thames, which must not rhyme with James,
Unless you are a grockle or a fool.
But in Oxford of all places, where scholars row their races,
The Thames is now called Isis, which does present a crisis,
For people doing quizzes, who may think it is izz izz.
So call it what you will, BUT DON'T FALL IN.
