Turko de Mayo 2025

My favorite combination of foods is the traditional Thanksgiving dfinner. I like it so much, I cook it again in May and that equals the same meal twice a year, spaced six months apart. Of course I had to give it a name, so in May it becomes "Turko de Mayo" instead of "Thanksgiving."

Since I don't mind eating leftovers, this food will last me about two weeks. When the mashed potatoes, green beans and other side dishes run out, I take the remaining turkey and make a big pot of turkey vegetable soup. I definitely get my money's worth out of this food.

Never throwing out food is very important, like you I always manage not to loose any leftover, but unfortunately when I ear the percent of food thrown out every year by our wealthy privileged populations I get goose bumps of anger.
