A beautiful restoration Graham.

Thanks Diana. This loco was restored because it is the only loco made in the former Toowoomba Foundry which has not been cut up for scrap. It was made in 1914 and started work on Qld Railways in 1915. It is the reason DownsSteam exists.

A great help to the fireman! Having to go into the tender while firing out on the road makes twice the work. I agree with Diana about the restoration. The old lady looks great.

Thanks George. Not too bad on the C16 tender, worse on the BB18 tender which is deeper, and more dodgy when one is standing on coal rather than the steel floor to do the work.
