DH41's axles have had bearing lubricated and are painted. Now they are being prepared to be fitted back into the bogie frames. January 2025. See PiP.

Thanks Bonsai. These belong to a loco type first put into service in the late 60s.
The type was designed and built here in Queensland Australia for QR. The transmission (and cooling I think) are from Voith so they could be like what was in GDR.
The type was so successful as a shunter and branch line loco that three other railways, NSW and WA states, and Emu Bay mineral railway had versions built for them.
They were later used by the Qld sugar industry's light railways after conversion to 2 foot gauge and are now used by several heritage rail groups. That is why DownsSteam could buy our one from a Sugar business.

Okay, Danke für die Info. In der DDR hat Voith bei den Getrieben keine Rolle gespielt. Das war nicht "unser Wirtschaftssystem". Im vereinten Deutschland dann schon. Da habe ich bei der Bahn auch an Voith-Getrieben geschraubt.

In der DDR habe ich an diesen Loktypen gearbeitet.
