As a youngster, I had a friend who had one of these as her car...we posed about in it and behaved badly!

Yes they were/are posy cars. A guy, a couple of years older than me, up the street where I grew up bought a creamy coloured TD as his first car. One certainly felt obvious when travelling in it. They are great looking cars but I've never had a use/need for one, though I buy far too many Cherry Ripes when they had a 'win a cherry red MG Midget' promotion in the early 70s.
